ANNOTATION: One ancient legend says that the land of Terchová is the remnant of a wandering celestial star, whose court musicians — celestial musicians — were the first settlers of Terchová. Another legend claims that the inhabitants were taught to play by the tututu "Vadic family". For the musical style of string music from the area of the Kysucká vrchovina, the name Terchová music was generalized. This important element of the traditional culture of Slovakia was recognized by UNESCO on 5th December 2013 by inclusion in the world list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind as a phenomenon of international importance — the second in a row from us, right after the fujara. What exactly is the Terchová music with a typical folk musical instrument, who is its biggest personalities are and how it is developed at present, it will be presented by prominent representatives, the band Ťažká Muzika from Terchová and Folk Music Band Minárikovci from Horný Vadičov.
