The Ring (or Circle; noun) is one of the oldest and most important symbols. It is a reflection of the sun, moon, unity, integrity, protection and regeneration, cyclical movement, ... of life. It is the oldest form of dance that guarantees equality, in which everyone has a place.
Folk culture has evolved over the centuries as circles on the water: the song, the working process, the fairy tale originated at the site of the "impact of the stone", they continued to spread, they met other circles, they connected, they disappeared.
The Annual rings are a symbol of this year's Folklore Festival Východná. The anniversaries of generations that today, as in the past, carry life and art. The annual rings of the areas that connect, unite, intersect. Rings of creation have evolved artistically over time.
Every historical period has brought something new. Modern dance, music, pattern. But every result of creativity stemmed from past experience. It followed it up, and developed it further.
...but - When the Weapons Rin, the Muses are Silent…
In recent years, we have had to learn to face difficult times that seem to have stopped everything that was every day to us. However, we are not the first and we will not be the last.
Generations of our ancestors have overcome obstacles for centuries, fought, built, and developed. They formed, building on the foundations of those before them. Thanks to their experience, wisdom, and strength. Like a tree: its bark, through which life flows, is the youngest, but it lives thanks to its strong centre and roots. The stronger they are, the more they can withstand the storm.
Take care of the oldest roots, but also of young fragile rods. From them they grow, develop, grow stronger and the trees.

Do you know?
The first payment card in Czechoslovakia was issued by Živnostenská banka in 1988 and was accepted in the Tuzex store network. And since the middle of 1989, Česká štátna sporiteľňa has been issuing withdrawal cards from ATMs to its clients' savings accounts. And what do the cards look like today?
Nowadays, cards are divided from different points of view. The most important is probably the breakdown by the association that issues the card. Mastercard and VISA cards are the most widespread in Europe. The cards are also issued by Diners Club International, American Express and especially the Japan Credit Bureau in Asia.

The safety and health of visitors to the festival is our priority.
The security at the festival is taken care of by a properly marked security service. It serves to protect visitors and to guard festival areas.
At the festival premises there is free movement of police, firefighters and paramedics with its own markedly marked permanent place. The permanent places of the state police, health service and fire service will be properly marked on the information map at the festival venue and in electronic form here.
We encourage all festival visitors to have the festival wristband, reducing the risk of misunderstanding with the organizational staff and security forces.

All entrances and exits will be visibly marked on the place and also on the information maps in the amphitheater area, on the evacuation map in the festival bulletin and in electronic form here.
The festival grounds have four main entrance entrances/exits: GATE 1/EXIT 1, GATE 2/EXIT 2, GATE 3/EXIT 3, GATE 4/EXIT 4 and the other two escape exits: Escape 5 and Escape 6. All entrances and exits are visibly marked on the place and also on the information maps in the amphitheater area, on the evacuation map in the festival bulletin and in electronic form here.
In case of emergency and need to use escape zones or concentration in a safe zone, we ask visitors to maintain their balance and follow the instructions of the security and organizational staff.
At the festival, each visitor produces more than half a kilogram of municipal waste. That's more than 14 tons of unseparated waste that ends up in landfills. At the same time, most of it can be evaluated. Up to 40 percent of waste from similar events is biodegradable kitchen waste from the gastronomy zone.
Our goal is green solutions and a substantial improvement in environmental performance
